Hi there, I’m Laura.
I am a Certified Health & Wellness Coach. A Wellness Coach provides a holistic form of wellness. I look at your life as a whole, a 360 degree perspective if you like, and coach you through any issues you may be experiencing. When I say a 360 degree perspective I am talking about twelve areas… food, water intake, fitness, fresh air, sunshine, rest, mindset, career, finances, relationships, purpose and spirituality.
I am a mum to two little boys, Jack and Liam, and lucky to be married to a wonderfully supportive husband, Dan. We have a rescue Border Collie called Jess who we love we to take on walks. I live in Hampshire down on the South Coast of England, before that I lived and grew up in the Midlands and Norfolk.
This all originally started as a blog, a place where I could express myself and give a little back to those around me. When I went on maternity leave with my first child I found it extremely overwhelming, and the life change, very difficult. I battled on for about 8 months but eventually broke down in front of my Health Visitor. That was my lowest point. From there I was directed to a service that helped mothers with post natal depression, which provided me with a basis of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) tools, and support network I needed.
It has been a continuous journey from that moment on. If you’re wondering… I did try medication, but hated the way it made me feel, and as someone who suffers with anxiety, the medication worsened it. I just knew it wasn’t for me, I wanted a more natural approach.
As a result of my journey I have come back stronger than ever. I genuinely didn’t think I’d get to the point I am at today, especially throwing baby number two in to the mix. I do not wish to be silenced or belittled for my experience, instead I want to shout out to others that I am here to help. With my personal experience and new found knowledge I feel I am in a fantastic position to do this!
